DR. FARIDAH AMIN
Prof. Faridah Amin is a family medicine consultant, educationist and primary care researcher. She recently started and is the Director of Indus College of Family Medicine and Public Health. She is a fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan and Royal College of General Practitioners. Besides, she has a Masters degree in Clinical Research and a PhD from Aga Khan University Hospital. She is also an Honorary medical advisor of a primary care welfare organization named “Fee Sabillilah Healthcare” in Kharachi. Besides she is an educationist and has initiated various clinical and research training programs for general practitioners. She is a CPSP supervisor, examiner for MCPS, FCPS and MRCGP int and faculty at CPSP. She is an avid researcher and recipient of the Young Research Scholar Award and Gold Medal by the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology for her translational study on Metabolic Syndrome. She initiated Pakistan’s first Primary care journal, served as chief editor for the journal for 2 years and obtained HEC recognition for the journal. She’s also reviewer and on the editorial board of various journals including the British Medical Journal.
